A lovely vilage situated 18 km south east of Chania Town, Stylos offers a clear view of rural life in Crete built amidst lush surroundings. The village displays an authentic Cretan character With stone built houses and narrow paths that create a unique atmosphere. Plane tree forests and natural springs dot the region, offering an ideal environment for hiking and other refreshing activities during the summer. Many churches and monasteries surround the village, such as the Byzantine church of Saint John and the 12th century church of Panagia Zerviotissa, called Monastira by the locals.
